The 2015/16 season was another hugely successful year for the Bradford Schools Football Leagues.
Boys South Football Leagues:
The South Football Leagues were once again a huge success. With 21 teams competing in each age group the performance based groups have continued to improve the level of fair competition across the district. The competition has provided the opportunity for over 1,500 boys to play regular competitive fixtures.
Congratulations to the following teams on winning their respective leagues:
U12: Tong High School
U13 Premier: Dixons Allerton Academy
U13 Championship: Oasis Academy Lister Park
U14 Premier: St. Bede’s
U14 Championship: Oasis Academy Lister Park
U15 Premier: St. Bede’s
U15 Championship: Dixons Trinity Academy
U16 Premier: Immanuel College
U16 Championship: Dixons Allerton Academy
The culmination of the 2015/16 season saw the winning teams from the North and South of Bradford compete in the very first Bradford Summer School Games at The University Academy Keighley. Beckfoot (North) emerged victorious again Tong (South) in the U12 Finals. The U13 Final saw Dixons Allerton Academy (South) put up a valiant effort against the victorious South Craven (North). South Craven (North) continued their dominance in the U14 Final emerging the champions against St. Bede’s (South). In a reversal of the fixture St. Bede’s (South) beat South Craven (North) in the U15 Final. Finals results South 1 – 3 North.
Girls South Football Leagues:
The Girls Football Leagues were once again a huge success. The central venue leagues provided the girls with the opportunity to take part in a vast amount of football. Congratulations to the following top three teams in each league:
U12: (1) Immanuel (2) St. Josephs & (3) Buttershaw
U13: (1) Buttershaw (2) Belle View Girls & (3) Immanuel
U14: (1) Buttershaw (2) Dixons Kings Academy & (3) Immanuel
U15/U16: (1) Buttershaw (2) South Craven & (3) Belle View Girls

The ESFA has issued guidelines on ‘Substitutes’, ‘Discipline’ and ‘Use of Academy/Centre of Excellence Players in National Competition’ which all schools should apple forthwith. Some of our schools may have entered some of the individual School National Competitions.
